Darwin Monkey arranges the individual production of Edinburgh bronze reproductions of Hugo Rheinhold's Affe mit Schädel. Each bronze is produced in response to a confirmed commission, with casting, chasing, finishing and patination undertaken by Powderhall Bronze in Edinburgh.
1. Commissions
Every commission is individually agreed between Darwin Monkey and the customer.
An initial enquiry creates no obligation on either party. A commission becomes binding only when its details have been agreed and Darwin Monkey has expressly confirmed acceptance.
The individual quotation or commission confirmation records the agreed sculpture, price, production arrangements and delivery destination.
Darwin Monkey is the customer's contracting seller and remains responsible for fulfilling the agreed commission.
2. Price and payment
The agreed price is confirmed in pounds sterling. Currency conversions displayed on the website are indicative only.
Darwin Monkey invoices the customer directly. Payment in full is required before production begins.
Production is commissioned from the foundry following confirmation of the order and receipt of payment.
3. Production
Each bronze is individually produced and finished in Edinburgh.
The anticipated production timetable is confirmed for each commission. As traditional bronze casting involves successive specialist processes, reasonable variations in production timing may arise.
Darwin Monkey will communicate material changes to the agreed arrangements.
4. Delivery
Price includes complimentary worldwide shipping, subject to availability of standard delivery services. Extremely remote destinations may incur an additional charge.
Any applicable import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
Delivery arrangements, including any exceptional charges, are confirmed before the commission is accepted. Darwin Monkey arranges appropriate insured shipping.
5. Cancellation
Each confirmed commission represents a commitment to individual production. Once accepted, commissions cannot ordinarily be cancelled or amended by the customer except as agreed by Darwin Monkey or required by applicable law.
6. Consumer rights
The sculpture will be supplied in accordance with the agreed description and applicable consumer legislation.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts statutory rights concerning defective or misdescribed goods, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
